The Chinese character (qiáo) meaning bridge
With the world shrinking through globalization and especially the Internet, peoples of various backgrounds need more than ever to understand each other. The benefits are great, and the costs of misunderstanding are simply too high.
China Institute seeks to serve as a "bridge" between Chinese and the best of Western Christianity.
By sharing information with English-speaking people about Chinese culture, including the spread of the Christian faith among Chinese, and by providing resources for the study of Christianity and also about American society, we hope to bridge the gap.
Dr. G. Wright Doyle is the founder and director of China Institute, which was established to promote Dr. Doyle's vision of reaching Chinese intellectuals with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
